For the discerning Mid-Century Modern collector or interior designer. Perfect example of the iconic 1960s high-intensity miniature folding task lamp by the legendary Tensor Electric Development Company. Engineered during the height of the space-age atomic design movement, this architectural miniature lamp has a weighted, off-white cream base, a fully adjustable swiveling/folding joint arm, and a flawless polished chrome cylindrical shade. This is a highly desirable, early production piece stamped on the bottom: "Tensor Electric Development Co., Brooklyn, N.Y. U.S.A."—complete with its vintage Underwriters Laboratories (UL) issue token. Condition: Collector-grade vintage condition and fully operational. The polished chrome hood is bright and mirror-like, completely free of the typical pitting, rust, or cloudiness found on utility lighting. The off-white molded casing retains its original luster with no yellowing, cracks, or heat-warp melting around the bulb housing. The swivel joints are tight and hold their positions perfectly. Cord is strong, clean, and flexible.

I specialize in identifying underrecognized vintage pieces with unusual age, design, provenance, or collectible value. Occasionally, I find an item worthy of the collection for its unique characteristics, such as deadstock, out-of-production, or discontinued status.
